About Me

Four years ago, I suffered through Hyperemesis Gravidarum during my pregnancy with my son. During that pregnancy my husband and I both knew we could never go through this again {or put our Little through it} so we immediately turned to adoption. In April of 2011, we began our homestudy for a private domestic adoption. Since then, our journey has been long, sometimes heartbreaking, many times exciting, and always changing.

I’m a stay at home Christian mom raising my son. My husband is a high school band director and music minister at our church. I’m thrifty and crafty and love sharing some of my ideas {or borrowed ideas} on my blog. I love writing, cooking, doing all kinds of fun things with my now three year old, and quilting. Sometimes my posts ramble, sometimes I use my blog to pour out my heart. Other times I might share a great craft I found that worked with Little Bug or maybe something the Lord laid on my heart that day. I’m a huge advocate for all types of adoption and love it when people ask questions about it, so please feel free.

Thank you for taking interest in our journey to grow our family and for stopping by from time to time to see what we’re up to in the meantime.

    LOVE THE NEW DESIGN!!! 😀

    • THANK YOU!!! Thanks for your help. The pictures are my own. That was the only way I knew to make it completely original!

Oh, I need to say, the beautiful center picture in the header was taken by my step-mother. She’s an amazing photographer, and if anyone in the West Texas area needs some pictures taken, ask me for her contact information and I’ll be happy to give it.

  2. Love the look and just getting started reading it!
